Saw Superbowl 35 at The Sports Column on Blake. The weather in Denver that day was awful, snow falling in near blizzard conditions. The Sports Column was only a few blocks from my apartment. No need to show up too early because I was alone and no one else was out in Lo-Do that night.

Sat at the bar and started drinking. Soon I was chatting with the people on either side of me (one a guy alone, the other a couple). The couple started buying shots of Tequila. I was getting woozie.

I heard my name called aloud. I won a SuperBowl 35 Jersey! Yay for me! On my way back to the bar, a pretty girl sitting with 4 of her friends asked me if she could see the Jersey. "Hell, you can have it," I replied, and grabbed a seat at their table.

I told the pretty girl I had a girlfriend. I don't know why I did that, because it wasn't true. I was, at the time, in love with a woman who wasn't in love with me, but we were no where near dating. Despite that admission, we still ended up making out by the washrooms for a while. Then she thought better of it (because of my make-believe girlfriend), and broke things off.

Apparently, Baltimore beat the Giants of New York 34 to 7. I don't remember much past the opening kick-off.
